 We are seeking an experienced Podiatrist for a locum tenens position serving multiple skilled nursing facilities in the Greater Sacramento area. This 40-day assignment, starting 04/28/2025, requires coverage Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7 AM and 7 PM, typically 9 AM to 5 PM. The podiatrist will provide essential foot care services, including nail trimmings and wound care, while traveling to different facilities. This role offers diverse patient care experiences in various settings with the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform nail trimmings and provide wound care for patients in skilled nursing facilities

• Travel to various locations in the Greater Sacramento area to deliver care

• Conduct thorough foot examinations and assessments

• Develop and implement treatment plans for podiatric conditions

• Educate patients and staff on proper foot care and preventive measures

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks and PointClickCare

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure compliance with all relevant podiatric and ethical guidelines

• Adapt to different facility environments and patient populations

• Manage time efficiently to accommodate travel between locations

• Stay updated on best practices in geriatric podiatry


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice podiatry in California

• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
