Job Description

Barton Associates is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Massachusetts. This 48-day assignment begins on 05/05/2025, with a flexible schedule averaging 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations, providing diagnoses, developing care plans, and offering urgent medical treatment and referrals as needed. The role involves both in-person and telehealth services using the eHana system. An active Massachusetts nursing license is required for this position, which also offers the possibility of extension.

Provider Type Needed: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner 

Schedule: Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-7pm, Thursday 10am-7pm, rotating Friday 9am-1pm and Saturday 9am-1pm


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations 

• Provide diagnoses and develop comprehensive care plans 

• Perform medication management, including medication-assisted treatment 

• Offer urgent medical treatment and referrals as needed 

• Deliver both in-person and telehealth services 

• Collaborate with mental health and substance use disorder clinicians 

• Utilize eHana system for patient documentation and management 

• Ensure high-quality patient care and follow-up 

• Adhere to clinic protocols and best practices in psychiatric care 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Participate in any required clinic meetings or training sessions


Additional Information: 

• Active Massachusetts license required 

• Experience with eHana system preferred 

• Flexibility to work rotating Friday and Saturday shifts
