The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an inpatient adult setting, specifically in a Acute Treatment Unit (ATU) for adults experiencing psychiatric or mental health crises. The physician assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care, managing treatment plans, and ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adult inpatients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Assist in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Smartcare software
• Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
• Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions and treatment options
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mental health regulations and standards
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in Colorado
