Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Oregon, starting 07/14/2025. This opportunity involves covering the radiation oncology clinic for 3 days a week or 1-2 weeks a month. The schedule is typically Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a half-day on Friday, though there is some flexibility. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing a variety of cases including lung, breast, and prostate cancers, as well as conducting check-ups during treatments, follow-ups, and consultations. Additional responsibilities include handling OTBs, checking offline imaging, and performing SBRT and SRS procedures.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Manage radiation oncology treatments for various cancer types, including lung, breast, and prostate
  • Conduct patient check-ups during treatments, follow-up appointments, and consultations
  • Perform and oversee SBRT and SRS procedures
  • Handle OTBs and check offline imaging
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation using Mosaiq EMR system (transitioning to Aria)
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and radiation safety protocols
  • Participate in tumor boards and other clinical meetings as required
