We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncologist for a recurring locum tenens position at a Clinic in Virginia. This assignment begins on 07/07/2025 and requires coverage for one week per month, Monday to Friday, with an ongoing opportunity. The ideal candidate will be proficient in External Beam Radiation Treatment (EBRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy, new patient consults, follow-ups, and both inpatient and outpatient consultations. Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform External Beam Radiation Treatment (EBRT)
• Conduct Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy
• Provide new patient consultations and follow-up appointments
• Offer inpatient and outpatient consultations
• Develop and implement radiation treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Aria and Epic systems
• Stay current with the latest advancements in radiation oncology
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care throughout treatment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary cancer conferences as needed
Additional Information:
• Virginia medical license required
• Proficiency in Aria and Epic electronic health record systems is beneficial
