We are seeking a skilled Radiologist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Massachusetts. This 70-day assignment begins on 06/02/2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, preferably for 1-2 weeks per month. The role involves performing screenings, diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, and biopsies. The radiologist will be responsible for digital screenings, 3D mammography, and some ultrasound procedures. Daily workload includes approximately 30-35 screenings, 10 diagnostics (mammography and ultrasound), and 2-4 biopsies.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform digital screenings and 3D mammography
• Conduct diagnostic mammography and ultrasound procedures
• Carry out breast biopsies as needed
• Interpret and report on approximately 30-35 screenings daily
• Analyze and report on 10 diagnostic procedures (mammography and ultrasound) daily
• Complete 2-4 biopsies per day
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Provide consultation to referring physicians as needed
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to breast imaging
Additional Information:
• Experience in breast imaging and interventional procedures required
• Comfort with high-volume screening and diagnostic workload essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
