We are seeking a skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in North Carolina. This 60-day assignment starts on 04/14/2025, with a rotating schedule covering weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of urgent care services, including DOT physicals, suturing, sports physicals, work physicals, and managing basic workman's comp cases. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic urgent care setting, providing comprehensive care to patients with various acute conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for patient examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and handling any cases that present to the facility.

Schedule: Rotating weeks - Week 1: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat-Sun 9am-5pm

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages 

• Perform DOT physicals, sports physicals, and work physicals 

• Conduct suturing and manage basic sprains and fractures 

• Handle workman's comp cases and interpret basic X-rays 

• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries 

• Develop and implement treatment plans for urgent care patients 

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Experity EHR system 

• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Ensure efficient patient flow and timely care delivery 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in urgent care medicine 

• Assist with any cases that present to the facility

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina 

• Experience with Experity electronic health record system preferred 

• Strong expertise in urgent care procedures and treatments 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination 

• Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including weekends 

• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 60 days
