Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 35-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting 04/28/2025. The schedule is 9am to 6pm daily. The NP will be responsible for conducting physicals, treating injuries, performing ear checks, managing follow-ups, and handling walk-in patients. Skills in suturing and interpreting basic orthopedic x-rays are also required.

Schedule: 9am to 6pm daily


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct work physicals and DOT physicals 

• Treat common injuries, particularly back and leg injuries 

• Manage eye debris removal and non-emergency burn cases 

• Perform ear checks 

• Handle scheduled follow-ups for previous injuries 

• Provide care for walk-in patients and work-related injuries 

• Perform suturing procedures as needed 

• Interpret basic orthopedic x-rays 

• Manage a diverse caseload of urgent care patients


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice in Texas 

• Experience with occupational health services is preferred 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care environment is essential 

• Familiarity with Occuflex system is beneficial
