Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Urology Surgery for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in California. This 60-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be proficient in clinical urology, focusing on consultations, follow-ups, and managing common urological conditions such as kidney stones and bladder infections. This outpatient role involves no OR or first assist duties. The position also utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct urology consultations and follow-up appointments 

• Manage patients with kidney stones and bladder infections 

• Handle routine urological cases

• Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans 

• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation 

• Collaborate with urologists and other healthcare professionals 

• Provide patient education on urological conditions and treatments 

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies 

• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in clinical urology 

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures 

• Manage time efficiently to accommodate patient appointments

Requirements: 

• Active California state Physician Assistant license 

• Certification in Urology or related field 

• Experience in clinical urology, including consultations and follow-ups 

• Proficiency in managing common urological conditions 

• Familiarity with Epic EMR

• Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting
