A multi-specialty clinic in California is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife specializing in Women and Adolescent Health for a locum tenens position starting 05/05/2025. This 120-day assignment requires coverage Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate will focus on low to moderate risk prenatal care in an outpatient setting, with no call or delivery responsibilities. Duties include first-trimester dating ultrasounds, basic gynecological care, birth control management (including Nexplanon/IUD placements and removals), well visits, and cervical/breast cancer screenings. The CNM will work across two sites, utilizing the Epic EMR system.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide low to moderate risk prenatal care 

• Perform first-trimester dating ultrasounds 

• Conduct basic gynecological exams and procedures 

• Manage birth control, including Nexplanon and IUD placements and removals 

• Perform well visits with cervical and breast cancer screenings 

• Utilize Epic (Ochin) EHR system for documentation and patient management 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Provide patient education on women's health and prenatal care 

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Work across two clinic sites as needed

Additional Information: 

• Must be a licensed Certified Nurse Midwife with active California license 

• Experience in outpatient prenatal and gynecological care required 

• Familiarity with Epic (Ochin) EHR system preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
